The working principle of a rodless cylinder is the same as that of a regular cylinder, but the external connection and sealing form are different. A rodless cylinder has a piston, but no piston rod. The piston is installed in the guide rail, and the external load is connected to the piston, which is driven by compressed air.
 
The patent for rodless cylinders is a sealing structure design that ensures the perfect integration of the cylinder and pneumatic system. It is an efficient, high-quality, long-lasting, low-cost, and reliable design. The rodless cylinder is driven by air and hydraulic oil, which can save 90% of energy compared to ordinary cylinders. The components of pneumatic or hydraulic stamping equipment have no adverse effects or noise during the operation of rodless cylinders, which can greatly improve the quality and service life of pneumatic components.

Rodless cylinders are adept at reciprocating linear motion and are particularly suitable for the linear handling and transmission requirements of the most commonly used products in industrial automation. In addition, by adjusting the one-way throttle valves installed on both sides of the rodless cylinder, stable speed control can be easily achieved, which has become the biggest feature and advantage of the rodless cylinder drive system. For users who do not require precise multi-point positioning, from a convenience perspective, most of them prefer to use rodless cylinders.
 
1. Magnetic rodless cylinder
The piston drives the cylinder components outside the cylinder body synchronously through magnetic force.
Working principle: A set of high-strength magnetic permanent magnet rings is installed on the piston, and the magnetic field lines interact with another set of magnetic rings on the outer side through a thin-walled cylinder. Due to the opposite magnetic properties of the two sets of magnetic rings, they have strong attraction. When the piston is pushed by the air pressure inside the cylinder, it will drive the magnetic ring sleeve of the outer cylinder part of the cylinder to move together under the action of magnetic force.
 
2. Mechanical contact rodless cylinder
Working principle: There is a groove on the shaft of the rodless cylinder, and the piston and slider move on the upper part of the groove. To prevent leakage and dust from entering, stainless steel sealing strips and dust-proof stainless steel strips are used to fix both ends of the cylinder head. The piston frame passes through the groove on the pipe shaft, connecting the piston and slider as a whole. The piston and slider are connected together. When the directional valve is located at the end of the rodless cylinder, compressed air enters the cylinder, and the compressed air on the other side is released. The piston moves and drives the cylinder component fixed on the slider to achieve reciprocating motion.
