How to make the cylinder move smoothly

The Pneumatic Cylinder has two joints, one connected on one side and the other connected on the other side, controlled by an electromagnetic valve. When the end of the piston rod receives air, the rodless end releases air and the piston rod will retract.

Check the cause of pneumatic cylinder malfunction:

1. Insufficient lubricating oil leads to increased friction: perform appropriate lubrication. Check the consumption of the lubricator. If it is lower than the standard consumption, please readjust the lubricator.

2. Insufficient air pressure: readjust the supply pressure and lock it. When the working pressure of the cylinder is low, the piston rod may not be able to move smoothly due to the load, so the working pressure should be increased. Insufficient gas supply is one of the reasons for unstable cylinder movement. It is necessary to ensure that the flow rate corresponds to the size and speed of the cylinder. If the set pressure slowly decreases, please pay attention to whether the filter element is clogged.

3. Dust mixed in the pneumatic cylinder: Due to the mixing of dust, the viscosity of dust and lubricating oil will increase, and the sliding resistance will also increase. Clean and dry compressed air should be used inside the cylinder.

4. Improper piping: Thin pipes or small joint sizes connected to the cylinder are also reasons for slow cylinder operation. Valves in pipelines may leak air, and improper use of joints can also lead to insufficient flow. You should choose accessories of appropriate size.

5. The installation method of the pneumatic cylinder is incorrect. Should be reinstalled

6. If the air flow decreases, it may be due to blockage of the directional valve. If working at high frequencies in low temperature environments, condensed water will gradually freeze on the muffler at the outlet of the directional valve (due to insulation expansion and temperature drop), causing the speed of the rotating cylinder to gradually slow down: if possible, increase the ambient temperature to increase the dryness of the compressed air.

7. Excessive load on pneumatic cylinder: Adjust the speed control valve again to reduce load fluctuations, increase working pressure, or use a large-diameter cylinder.

8. Expansion of pneumatic cylinder piston rod seal: The cylinder seal is leaking. Replace the expanded seal and check if it is clean.

If the cylinder barrel and piston rod are damaged, please replace the piston rod and pneumatic cylinder.
