Solution to faults in compact pneumatic cylinders

1. The Pneumatic Cylinder has compressed air entering, but no output.

Given this situation, the possible reasons are as follows: the upper and lower membrane chambers are connected due to membrane leakage, the upper and lower pressures are the same, and the actuator is not outputting. Due to the aging of the diaphragm during frequent operation of the Aluminum Profile Tube in the cylinder, or when the gas source pressure exceeds the maximum working pressure of the diaphragm, it is a direct factor leading to diaphragm damage. The output rod of the actuator is severely worn, causing it to get stuck on the shaft sleeve.

Troubleshooting method: Ventilate the actuator, check the position of the exhaust hole, and check if there is a large amount of air flowing out. If so, it means that the diaphragm is damaged and only needs to be removed and replaced. Check the wear of the exposed part of the output rod. If the wear is severe, it may be a problem with the output rod.

2.When the Cylinder Barrel moves to a certain position, it will stop.

The possible reason for this situation is that the membrane head return spring has flipped.

Troubleshooting method: Ventilate the actuator and use a stethoscope or screwdriver as an auxiliary device to listen for the sound of the diaphragm head during operation. If there is any abnormal sound, it is likely that the spring has been thrown. At this point, simply remove the membrane head and reinstall the spring. Check the wear of the exposed part of the output rod. If the wear is severe, it may be a problem with the output rod.

3. The pressure reducing valve of the air source filter has a pressure display, but the actuator does not operate.

The possible reason for this situation is that the gas source pipeline is blocked. Loose air connection

Troubleshooting method: Check if there are any foreign objects stuck in the intake pipe. Spray the joint position with soapy water to see if it is loose.

4. Everything is normal, but the actuator output is weak or not adjusted properly.

Given this situation, the possible reason is that the process parameters have changed and the pressure in front of the valve has increased, requiring a larger actuator output force for the valve. Positioner malfunction.

Troubleshooting method: Replace the actuator with a higher output force or reduce the pressure in front of the valve. Check or troubleshoot the locator and cylinder kit.
