Excellent welding performance and corrosion resistance, with no tendency towards stress corrosion cracking. In heat-treatable aluminum alloys, The Al Mg Si series alloy is the only alloy that does not exhibit stress corrosion cracking. 4. The processed surface is very smooth and easy to anodize and color. The disadvantage is that after quenching, if left at room temperature for a period of time and then aged, it will have an adverse effect on strength (parking effect).

In larger cases, the plasticity of the alloy decreases, the processing performance decreases, and the corrosion resistance decreases.

With the increase of Si content, the alloy grains become finer, the metal flowability increases, the casting performance becomes better, the heat treatment strengthening effect increases, the tensile strength of the profile increases, the plasticity decreases, and the corrosion resistance deteriorates.
